If this were a Chrono game, they'd totally be able to do combo attacks.
I really wish they'd make another game in that series... and, really, a proper game in that series. As interesting as Chrono Cross was for a playthrough or two, it didn't really feel like a proper sequel, and it certainly didn't have the depth of play that Chrono Trigger had.
Plus, the story in CT was just so much cooler.

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...
They actually do something heroic.
