Black Wizard is pretty powerful. There's a reason I always have him in my party. Dude can't take a hit (and crumples like tissue paper), but he can really pack a wallop.
I could have dragged this battle out... heck, I could have dragged out the whole storyline in the water temple, but considering how plot-light the whole original game really was (just a long series of dungeon crawls and fetch quests), this felt like the best way to adapt it.
