#0: An Introduction

This Comic's Cast:

As the comic clearly states, the following arc is a "24 in 24" challenge. Artists will push themselves to try and complete 24 comics in 24 hours, which is quite the feat when you consider that many artists will spend (easily) 3 hours or more on a single comic for the day. Doing 24 of them really pushes an artist.
For CVRPG to do one, though, that wouldn't have been hard. I can usually do a comic in 20 to 30 minutes, so if I'd gone for 24, I'd have been done sometime around dinner and then gone to bed.
Thus, upping it to 50 seemed like a reasonable rule. Additionally, I set a rule that I had to do at least three action comics (which always take longer), and that the story arc had to be told to completion before I was done. If it took more than 50 comics (although it really didn't), then I had to keep going until it was done.
The reason the arc isn't set in any particular time slot of the continuity is primarily because these comics aren't in the main archive. Had I given them real numbers (like comics #1020 through #1070), then I'd have set when exactly they fell. As it was, I didn't, as I wasn't near a good stopping point in the chapter of the main arc I was in to slap this in there.
Additionally, the story just didn't feel like it had to be part of the main archive. It's a fun side story, and it does actually have a few consequences on continuity, but you don't have to read this to know (generally) what's going on.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
