#1: Long Ago
This Comic's Cast:
After Tales of the Fallen, I received a number of requests to tell the full back stories for each of the heroes. I had done small comics showing how the heroes became the heroes they were (Darkmoon being vamped by Dracula, Katrina getting cursed, Alec losing his girlfriend to her slutty ways), but the fans apparently felt like there was more story to tell.
Ahh, fans. How gullible you are. I mean, uh...
So anyway, here we are with the first of the "main" hero stories: Darkmoon. Or, as he was known before he became a hero, Herschel. Why Herschel? It's a good Jewish name, and as we already know from the main series, Darkmoon is Jewish.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...
These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...
They actually do something heroic.
