#585: To the Winner...

This Comic's Cast:

I'm not sure you're actually allowed to take Pokemon in the series, but even if not, Blacula would totally do it. Legal or not, it's the villain way.

I sort of feel like if we cut to a week from now, Blacula'd be in charge of Team Rocket, and neither he, nor we would know how it happened.

It's not legal for a player to take an NPC's Pokemon, but the villains in the pokemon games steal from trainers all the time. It's safe to say you're good here.

That's not quite true LucarioZer0, in the story mode of Pokemon Colloseum and in Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness the player (who is a 'hero') does snatch Shadow Pokemon from other trainers mid-battle. In the first game your partner won't let you snatch non-Shadow Pokemon and in the second game the special machine that lets you turn a normal Pokeball into a Snatchball refuses to activate if you aren't targeting a Shadow Pokemon. In all other Pokemon titles you are correct though.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
