#564: Leather and Lace
The female Castlevania villains are universally boring. But this critique doesn't just extend to Castlevania. Every media has an issue like this. If you're a woman ad evil you apparently have to dress in skin tight leather (if anything at all). It's dumb.

No, if you're female, evil, and not an old crone you have to wear skin tight clothes (predominantly leather). There are plenty of fully clothed crones as villainesses. In fact outside of porn it's very hard to find a crone that is either scantily clad or wearing all skin-tight clothes, good or evil. Of course it's very easy to explain that horrid bit of sexism. It's because the predominant moral views in the areas where said games are made label being promiscuous as being 'evil', and that since those who are 'evil' have problems trusting others they're obviously going to be promiscuous, which means extremely revealing clothes for the females. Not to mention it does tend to work very well at distracting those who are attracted to females........

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...
They actually do something heroic.
