You never get a judgmental narrator in these games, certainly not one that would heckle you for taking a quest. To get one that thinks, no matter what you do, you're a douche... well, that's something new and special.
I always did wonder why the seriously overpowered hero had to kill the pathetic creatures and couldn't just let them go. In Chrono Trigger, you could go back and kill the starting imps, but did you really need to? Was there anything to be gained from it?

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...
