Okay, so sure, the whole plotline of having a girl more interested in learning than men may have been done a few times before (I'm sure there's more than one trope to it). It's all a bit Jane Austen, sure.
Well, except for the girl falling for the guy after she realizes that despite hating his guts, he's he intellectual match and they'd really have a great life together. Also, I recall zombies and ninjas being involved.
