Technically, if Jesus was a Jew (if you accept that he existed, then he was a Jew -- there's no other way around it, people), then his birthday would not always be December 25th. The 25th of December is a set date on the Roman Calendar, but if Jesus was a Jew (he was) then he would be using the Jewish Calendar.
At least I think that's how it works. We'll just go with that until someone corrects me... and then, even then, I doubt I'll change this commentary.
