I guess it's natural for Darkmoon to assume the daywalking ability was just a natural growth of his dark powers and not having the soul restored. He'll figure out where it came from eventually. For now, let him believe what he wants.
It is interesting to see him dashing off towards danger. Apparently the cowardice gets restored slowly over time. Or maybe it's an earned skill, like the useless skills you get from being a Dancer or a Singer.
