While amusing, not technically accurate. Magicians are practitioners of show magic, which is usually fake. It's all slight-of hand tricks and misdirections. Magicians are more con-artists than magic users.
Mages, though (same root word) practice actual magic. A key distinction Katrina was going for but which sailed over Darkmoon's head.
Not that she was correct, either, since what she did really mean was psychic. That makes much more sense in the context.
