#561: I am in ur CVRPGs Ruining ur Plotlines

This Comic's Storylines:

Achievement Unlocked!

Ahh, a Mab filler strip. As I recall, I had to go out of town for a couple of days, and Mab was willing to fill in for me on the comic... and now we can all see why.
I will admit, there were some complaints about this comic. It's not Mab's usual drawing style -- she was trying to see if she could crank out comics in an hour or less (sorta like I do most of the time), so the artwork isn't her usual quadra-tone super refined style.
But, more so, the complaints were about the content of the story. She killed an epic battle in the least epic way. An argument could be made that maybe I should have called this a supplemental and just redid the battle... and yet...
The thing is that Mab is one of the co-creators on the comic. If she wants to come in and write up a comic for the archive (one that would be published currently, and not just randomly inserting comics in the older chapters), she's allowed to do so, and it's considered "continuity". That's always been the rule, and I'm not going to change it just because she puts together a (purposefully) less-epic lark of a comic right in the middle of a battle.
Plus, I think this comic is fucking hysterical, and, really, that's all that matters to me.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
