One of those times where I actually point out the upside of Katrina being partly cat-like. The ears do come in handy, even if they're offset by the need for catnip, a partialness for milk and fish, and the occasional awkward hairball.
With the child vampire, the question does tend to become is the child really a child, never having a chance to fully mature because his body never has, or is he really an adult trapped in the body of a child, forced to live his eternity in a pint-sized package?
Although, come to think of it, I may eventually answer that question...

If memory serves (It's been a good twenty years since I read the book.) Claudia, from "Interview with the Vampire" was just six years old when she was turned. As I recall, she was very frustrated by her lack of maturity after years (decades) of not being sexually mature but being sexually frustrated or some silly shit like that.
