#369: Rage and Angst

We're actually getting a little of the backstory here (as I said, I hadn't written Out of the Darkness yet when I wrote this), but that's a good thing. Those of you that have elected to read the archive straight through before hitting the Bonus Arcs won't be lost.
This scene was also from the RPG, although I changed a lot to suit where I wanted the story to go (not the least of which is that fact that the vampiress Darkmoon loved was called Alana in the game).

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...
These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...
They actually do something heroic.
