The Elder God

This Comic's Cast:

I don't remember the plan, originally, for an Elder God to try and break through into the CVRPG universe. I think Mab and I discussed weird places we could take the series, but CVRPG II (and on wards) were my plan, and somewhere in all of that I decided that I should have one of the H.P. Lovecraftian gods invade our universe. Plus, tentacles are easy to draw.

Whatever the original motivation, I have enjoyed having this ultimate evil as a wild card to throw out from time to time. It allows me to set rules and boundaries for the universe because if I ever let the characters stray too far, use magics that are too powerful, it'll tear a hole in the fabric of space-time and, voila, that's how you get an Elder God.

Do you want an Elder God? Because that's how you get one.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
