#16: The Ballad of Link
If a hero boasts about his own work, he's either a liar or hard up for a job. Either way, no one will want to hire him.
However, if some bard writes a ballad about the deeds of the hero, well then, that hero will never go hungry again.
At least, unless he gets captured and thrown into some goblin prison. Or, stuck in a cave in deep in some cavern.
