#2742: Hardly Noticeable

This Comic's Storylines:

Really, it barely did anything. Space time was hardly warped, the ship wasn't even stretched a tad, and if anything was sucked in, it was probably just space dust. I doubt there would be any long term effects from it. Nothing bad could have occurred from such a tiny little black hole, right? Plainly, Claypool's faith in Katrina's abilities might just be misplaced. Just sayin'.

You'd think Katrina'd have plenty of ways of dealing with such a pathetic black hole after 800 years, but I guess those catnaps really get in the way of studying. That or the long-time characters would just be too OP if they had had real progression in that time. No, they get nothing of meaning off-screen. Except Katrina's and Darkmoon's daughter. Pretty sure that's the only important thing to happen to any of those four though.

well nothing bad besides the intense radiation a tiny black hole emits, but who cares about that?

Considering the scale of it, and the fact that none of the characters have been shown to have magic of that scale (well, unless Katrina's magic goes a little too wild), it only stands to reason she wouldn't naturally have a way to deal with it. Besides, in the 800 years between comics, Katrina was working on a lot of different magics, but making black holes? Probably not something she researched (nor would have wanted to).

Hmm. Perhaps, over the last 800 years, the replacement of Magic and the overall flourishing of Technology, perhaps Magic's overall existence has weakened. Which could explain why Darkmoon, Katrina, and Golem all don't really show magic of higher scales, because they CAN'T. Sure, Magic can still exist, but it's really only them actively using it, so it's not as strong anymore. The only exception, of course, is Katrina's Wild Magic. That stuff is just unpredictable in it's scale if it can create a stable black hole.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
