While there are a lot of backgrounds that work well for CVRPG -- Beyond Oasis included -- sometimes you run across areas that illustrate how small the CVRPG sprites are in comparison to most games. Modeled around the same height as Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana characters, there's a lot of good sources of backgrounds I can use, but they're a little too big to convincingly use Final Fantasy SNES sprites, and a tad too small for a lot of other games.
When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...
These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...
