Amusing when you consider that the CVRPG heroes eventually cross-over with the TMNT. A bit of a universe-breaking joke here, really.
So here we get a little bit of an explanation for why the items are in Hell and why the Devil wants to make sure they don't fall into "enemy" hands. The real reason for this comic, though, is to explain it to the readers (and myself, since I will admit I hadn't thought it through all the way).

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...
They actually do something heroic.
