Now, obviously the fact that Sindra, the Devil, can chat with the player is a bit of a cheat. Older games in the genre had a limited dictionary. They didn't really have any way for the player to have impromptu conversations with in-game characters.
Certainly, with enough programing and a good engine, someone could theoretically talk with a character, but the likelihood of that happening is so low...
