This Comic's Cast:

Adventure games are all about exploring around and talking to people. Of course, again I'm taking some liberties with how much information the narrator will provide as you poke around. I could make this comic series drag out forever, but, really, who wants to see that.

The biggest offender for "must talk to everyone to learn everything and gather every potential clue just to solve the game" that I've ever heard of wasn't an Adventure game, though. It was an RPG: the Ultima series. I have friends that would fill notebooks with facts, clues, and details just so that they could figure out where the hell they should go and how the game was supposed to fit together.

Those kinds of games end up relegated to the bottom of my collection.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
