64 Calories, 64 Bits, 64 Ounces of Flavor
Part of the idea for these comics was to do "commercials" for each of the products on display at the theoretical concessions counter if this were actually a movie. I realize I'm explaining the joke, but that's basically what I feel I have to do sometimes.

For this (and the Villains counterpart), I went with plays on 8-Bit Lager. I love the old 8-Bit Lager jokes (which is why I kept doing them), and when I decided to do concessions ads, this was the first thing that came to mind.

Also, if you look back at the previous DSWC, one of the four characters in that comic was an 8-Bit Lager guy (dancing really jaunty, I will note). It's just one of those gags (like Henry the Eighth) that I will never let go of.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
