I will admit that I've actually spent some time playing DK3. It's not a terrible game, but if it didn't have a gorilla in it, you wouldn't even know it's a Donkey Kong game. The plot (barely call it one) is that Donkey Kong has taken refuge in a greenhouse and it's up the Stanley the Bug man to save the day. Stanley runs around shooting bugs that are trying to steal his flowers (the hell?) while DK hangs in the middle, slowly sliging down the ropes because his hands are apparently covered in butter.
In other words, DK3 is a shooter with DK loosely thrown in for no good reason. That is, without a doubt, idiocy.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
