Death raises a valid point. History is written by the winners.
Aside from the fact that Death claims all souls, not just human ones. Creatures live and die within Dracula's castle. Even if there's no hero around, one has to assume some creatures will eventually die of disease or old age. Not everything within the brick and mortar structure is undead. Anything that can die can be claimed, and Death will happily do it.

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...
They actually do something heroic.
