#2807: The Big Ugly
This Comic's Storylines:
So we're in for the big final phase of the Fairy King's battle. Admittedly, the initial phase wasn't all that impressive, but if we think of it more like they've been doing battle with him since they first met him, this has been a pretty drawn out affair.
I had to hang a hat on the fact that this is the third big battle of this type we've seen in the series. More if you count the various encounters (here and in DSWC) with the Elder God, plus the Monstrous Slime from earlier in 2499. I do dig the style of this one, though. That floating face is just so icky looking.
When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...
These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...
They actually do something heroic.
