This Comic's Storylines:

There is of course the default "Lost in the Woods" scene. It's gotta be like a curse or something. The inability to find their way through anything follows them from place to place. I wonder if that transfers to later characters too if they are on solo missions. Like if Angel went off on his own, would he inexplicably get lost now?
The top panel is a reference to just about any Dungeon Crawl style RPG. characters go into a cave/maze/castle, travel for three floors or so, fight a boos, get a treasure. If the treasure is lame, they then sell that treasure. Rinse and repeat. I'm actually not a big fan of Dungeon Crawls, but they are great to mock.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
