Damn, some of my comics are really talky. It's all, blah blah blah with little background or sprites. Plus, there's that damn 6 panel layout again. Curse you six panels!
And yes, this comic uses a 8-bit reference for the punchline. I will say this once and never cover it again: everyone that does an RPG based sprite comic basically has to pay tribute to 8-bit. It's the best known. You can't not acknowledge its existence. Of course, I steadfastly believe there is little else between RPG worlds and sprite the same between the two comics, but I still, from time to time, get comments saying CVRPG is too "8-bit." Fuckers.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
