There's some quest I think you have to do to get access to the submarine (everything has a quest, and while I can't actually find details on it now, that sounds right). Regardless, I just have to make the heroes squirm a bit since they're fairly off-book now with their quest. They hit the beats, but cruise through it in their own way.
