Well of course it took a full bore blast -- it's not actually real. Unless the blast hit the teeny tiny ship inside the hologram, there's no way it would do anything at all. Even if it did hit, it's not as though the ship would make a giant explosion. Sure, the little ship would, but the rest of it would probably just wink out of existence.
Not that the Stalkers know any of this.
