#32: Frankenstein and Mummy are Dead Part 1

This Comic's Storylines:

Another of my favorite comics, just for the sheer premise of the comic... plus the ending ain't bad either. I dunno if many people have heard about it, but the title for this comic (and basically what has inspired this whole running sideplot) stems from a retelling of Hamlet, titled Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead.
The basic story is about two characters, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, who are in a few scenes in Hamlet, and die towards the end (hopefully I haven't killed it for you). We follow them as they journey through thier portion of the story, seeing Hamlet from a different angle and making comments about the story.
So, I took a couple of lesser characters, the Creature and the Mummy, and gave them staring roles. Of course, as it's gone on, they pop up from time to time to make jokes and be fun characters to play with. So, I've basically diverged from the source material... It's more an omage than a full tilt parody.
The title also is amusing since Frankie and the Mummy really are dead. A double entendre (however it's spelled).

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
